| "Rook" is also one of my best works. When I painted this, all I had in mind was detail. I wanted to make it look as realistic as possible, while still being dynamic and fun to look at. I had fun with the pose and highlights, as well as painting the fur and colors. Every time I saved and closed the painting, I'd forget how I painted a section of the character by the time I started painting again, so each section was painted in it's own unique way. By some miracle, it all pulled itself together. That's why I like this one. |

Echo in the Storm
| "Echo in the Storm" is featured on my page because I know that when I painted it, I was the most in tune with it. I've always admired bears despite the fact that I've never drawn them. It was raining heavily outside, and the sound the rain was making was peaceful. I was in a somewhat dark mood, which helped me make the colors of the painting. I felt cold but warm at the same time, which made me think of the foggy breath. This is probably one of the best works in my gallery. |
